Wireless Cameras

Wireless cameras are such an exciting way to go in the surveillance world. With different styles like long range, weatherproof, indoor and outdoor, wireless cameras have been known to meet the needs of most people. Hobbyists, pilots, police, professionals and everyday consumers all agree that wireless isn’t just for the future anymore, it’s for right now. Wireless cameras are also efficient in parking lots, car lots, construction sites, casino’s, convenient stores, but most importantly they’ve been proven to be their most efficient inside and outside of homes. Being able to view your perimeters at anytime live, gives you a different sense of security, the one you’ve been missing out on.

It’s easy! Some wireless cameras transmit to a Receiver over a high frequency radio signal (or an RF) just like a cordless phone would do. You just connect the Receiver to a video monitor or recorder and Bingo! Live TV!! Or you can simply connect your wireless camera to an Internet Connected DVR. You can purchase many different types of these cameras. Companies like Panasonic, Motorola, Axis, D-Link, Microtek, Vivotek, Netvision, and Sony offer colored, infrared, black and white, hidden, tiny, dome, and many more types of cameras in all of their stores, including online stores. Cameras like the Wireless Helmet Camera give some crews a sneak peak to what the drivers see. In fact, wireless video cameras have supplied the RC Hobbyists for over 20 years with Broadcast Quality Airborne Video Systems. These cameras have a range of up to 25 miles! They’ve also made video links for RC cars, helicopters, airplanes, blimps, Para gliders and rockets. The aviation industry has also utilized these cameras putting them inside of commercial airplanes, experimental aircraft, hot air balloons, and sail planes, giving them access to what’s going on in those specific areas in real time. Some of these cameras used have a ground base point and can see anywhere from 300 feet to 40 miles!!

Wireless Covert cameras (nanny cams), tiny wireless cameras, wireless networks, 2.4 GHz cameras, audio/video transmitters and receivers and monitor kits are the most popular items on the market today. There are other wireless methods though. Video over electric wiring is the newest and most exciting break thru in recent years of wireless. The Video Over Power System sends the video signal over the power lines in your walls, making detection impossible!! Another product on the market recently to help parents everywhere is the new wireless handheld color video baby monitor. It not only provides you with audio, but now comes with a miniature TV so you may view everything your baby is doing in real time. As wireless technology improves, surveillance does too. Make sure you check out all different types of cameras and systems to figure out what’s best for you.
